About Period Power

We are a volunteer-run registered charity fighting to break the harmful cycle of period poverty across Staffordshire and beyond through the distribution of free period products.

We raise awareness, challenge stigma and empower girls, women and menstruators through encouraging conversations about menstrual health and wellbeing.

To think that we are living in the 21st century in one of the wealthiest countries in the world and we still have period poverty and stigma surrounding menstruation makes me extremely angry. Whilst there is any type of poverty there will always be period poverty. We need to eradicate period poverty!

I have lived and worked in the Stoke and North Staffs area for most of my life and am very pleased to have joined Period Power as a Trustee. I applaud and support the aims of ending period poverty and promoting period dignity. I believe in social justice and reducing inequality.
I hope I can help Period Power to continue to be successful and relevant.

I believe that period poverty should not exist. There should be no need to choose whether to eat, heat or be able to afford period products. Everyone has the right to a dignified period.

I became a Trustee of Period Power because I believe no one should be held back by something as natural as a period, and I want to break the silence, stigma and inequality that still surrounds menstrual health. Being part of this work means standing alongside a movement that is creating dignity, access and lasting change for those too often overlooked.

We should all have equal access to hygiene products, and being a part of Period Power enables me to support and promote this alongside a determined and proactive team.

I believe that menstrual products are a necessity and not a luxury. I wanted to help to ensure period products are accessible to all and to break the stigma surrounding periods.

I care deeply about fairness, dignity and social justice. As a trustee of Period Power I’m motivated by the belief that when we work together to remove stigma and barriers, we create healthier, more inclusive communities for everyone.

If you are struggling to afford period products, we can help.

We work with schools, food banks, charities and community groups to ensure menstrual products reach people who need them most.

Will support up to 40 women and girls for 1 month.

Can stock a community group for 2 months.
