What Others Say
Here’s what people say about the support that we provide across Staffordshire and beyond.

Period Power has been supporting our project over the past 18 months, and their help has been greatly appreciated. We have been able to utilise the products provided by Period Power as a part of our work supporting inpatients at Harplands Hospital, where we facilitate peer-led workshops. As a part of these sessions, we gift the patients small self-care packs, and supplies from Period Power significantly contribute to helping the patients by offering additional dignity and comfort during their inpatient stay, which can often be a time of vulnerability and challenging emotions. A sincere thank you to Period Power for all their work!
Period Power has been nothing short of life changing for the Staffordshire Girls and Ladies League. Their incredible support has given our players, parents and coaches the tools and confidence to break the silence around periods and fight period poverty head-on. Thanks to their work, we’re creating a safe, supportive space where no girl or woman ever has to feel embarrassed, excluded, or held back from playing the game they love because of their period. Together, we’re proving that football really is for everyone – every day of the month.
I wanted to reflect on what it means to be a small cog in the brilliantly powerful and justified campaign Period Power drive in Longton. It means feeling PROUD to be part of an important and enabling movement for women. […] It means being PROUD to be part of a campaign that says – you should be supported with this cost if you need to be. […] Period Power have real intent, real responsibility and will constantly look for ways, such as through the promotion of reusable period products, to address important issues like Climate Change.[…] I am PROUD to be able to share the products I get from Period Power with other businesses in Longton, so that they can redistribute them to anyone who needs them. […] I am so PROUD to be part of an organisation that is wholly reflective of what we all know is right and just, and serves us all, especially women, so well.
Chance Changing Lives is a small charity that supports vulnerable individuals and families each week, people who really struggle to feed their families and keep a roof over their heads. When we started back in 2017, we aimed to make an impact on period poverty and to provide free hygiene products to those that needed them. We could only do that with the support of Period Power who gave us the supplies that we needed without question. They were always there for us and as we continue to support over 150 women and girls each week, they remain a strong source of support for us. We couldn’t have supported so many women without Period Power behind us.
We will write it, sing it or dance it, if it supports you! Period Power are amazing. We’ve always known how important it is for people to have access to period products but this charity goes above and beyond to make this happen. They’ve educated us, and continually do so. We provide free products through the app PP directed us to. Their work is so impactful and very much needed. We will always support you!
Having recently set up as a Community Project supporting local families who are struggling to make ends meet, Period Power jumped at the opportunity to support me. I’m looking forward to working with Period Power on a more permanent basis.
Period Power are a vital part of our community and we are very thankful to be able to reach out to them whenever the need for sanitary products arises. Linda is always there with her enthusiastic energy and a lovely smile.
Period Power’s support has had such a powerful impact on The Owen Project. Not only has it helped us provide essential products to those who need them most, but it’s also led to an increase in donations to us directly—allowing us to reach more and more people every single month. I’ve seen our work touch the lives of colleagues, friends, and group attendees alike, and I’m so grateful for the difference this partnership continues to make.
Better Together Community Support Group had the privilege of working with Period Power from almost the very start of their journey, and we deeply value and support their unwavering commitment to ending period poverty. Their work has made a real difference in the lives of countless girls and women in many communities, ensuring access to period products, education, and dignity. We are proud to stand alongside them in this vital mission and continue to champion their efforts every step of the way.
I first contacted period power when it began in 2017. I absolutely loved what it was doing and wanted to work with them to support women and girls in my work. Over the last 8 years, they have supported families in Stoke with disposable and reusable products. […] I have been honoured to do my bit to end period poverty, so that women and girls are not having to use rolled up tissue to get through the day, or are having to miss school or work … WE DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE over whether we have a period, BUT we’re expected to pay for it! Period Power gives so many their dignity back. Thank you!
